for the Ondoy flood victims

BONNE online shop is temporarily CLOSED.
Please spend your money wisely and buy food and supplies to help the victims of Ondoy.

I could be doing volunteer work for the victims of Ondoy today. I should be spending my time helping people in need. I would rather be at a relief operations center, than where I am right now. But right now, I have no choice but to go to work, suck it in and help out in any way that I can. Although spreading the word online helps, I feel the need to do more.

If I can't spend my time and energy packing relief goods right now. I decided to put the time and energy I spent sewing these past few months into good use instead. I will be sharing a portion of what I have earned from my fascinators to buy relief goods for the victims of Ondoy.

So to all the ladies (and gentleman) who have supported my little shop... thank you. You have also, in your own fabulous way, helped the victims of Ondoy.

There is still more to do darlings, so please visit this site : ONDOY MANILA

Every little bit helps. Thank you :)

Sending out an SOS

On Sept. 26, the Philippine capital Manila and its neighboring provinces suffered one of nature's worst beating. Typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana) poured more than a month's worth of rain in six hours, submerging most parts of the Luzon. Thousands of people have lost their homes and hundreds have lost their loved ones in just one day. The images and the stories are heartbreaking and anything that you can do to help would greatly be appreciated.

No matter where you are, you can lend a hand. Please visit this site:

Thank you so much.

Tutu work in progress.

I finally put my pattern making and sewing knowledge into good use.
Need to add a few more layers of tulle at the bottom, cut them
to approximate the shape of the tutu on the left and sew in a waistband..

So far I am twirling with glee with the way this project is turning out :)

I'd Like To Walk Around In Your Mind Someday

I'd like to walk around in your mind someday
I'd like to walk all over the things you say to me

I'd like to run and jump on your solitude
I'd like to rearrange your attitude to me

You say you just want peace and to never hurt anyone
You see the end before the beginning has ever begun

I would disturb your easy tranquillity
I'd turn away the sad impossibility of your smile

I'd sit there in the sun of the things i like about you
I'd sing my songs and find out just what they mean to you

But most of all i'd like you to be unaware
Then i'd just wander away, trailing palm leaves behind me
So you don't even know i've been there

Louise Brooks

It may be a tad too late to start thinking about making tutus,
but I want to make one anyway. I think they're timeless, elegant and chic.
Ziegfeld Girl, Dolores

But you can also dress it down.
Balmain Tulle Skirt

Maybe I can put a few feathers in there.
I shall take this project on over yet another long weekend.

BRUHAT, originally uploaded by bonnebons.

This is a fascinator that I made especially for my friend Bru, so I'm calling it the BRUHAT. This is about 4 inches long and 3 inches wide. I used felt cloth, a bit of Tulle and my favorite polka dot cloth. I hope she likes it :)

My First Brooch

I made my first brooch a few weeks ago for a friend.
I decided to call it the Mata Hari.
Because he's a sly little courtesan.

The brooch is handmade. I also used a vintage button as accent.

Art by Lala

Fantastic artwork by Lala Gallardo. She creates paper cuts and illustrations.
What I love the most are the little stories behind her work. More of her work on society6 .
And if you want to take her lovely pieces home with you, visit her etsy shop .

Here are some of my faves:

dots and loops (happily hanging on my wall)

lulu ( i want to make a fascinator like hers)
