Bonne Bouquet for Heidi

My third Bonne bouquet was made as a gift for one lovely bride.  Her friend Roxane, (who also gave Bonne bridal head pieces for her two other friends see here) commissioned a bouquet set in powder blue and gray tones with bejeweled brooches.

I was happy to receive her sweet email along with beautiful photos from her wedding.

I think it's cool that she opted for a gray wedding gown by Mel Orlina -- quite unconventional, especially in our very conservative Filipino culture.

BONNE for Vania Romoff

Last summer, I was happy to receive a call from beautiful Filipina designer, Vania Romoff. She asked me to create a few headpieces to go with her latest collection.  Here are a few photos from her portfolio taken by Cholo Dela Vega.

Bonne Bride Boogie!

I love themed weddings and this 50's wedding takes the cake for me:)  The lovely bride, Sam went all out with an LP as wedding invite, 3 costume changes and had headpieces made for her entourage in bubblegum pink and aqua blue.  Oddly, the pieces were inspired by Marie Antoinette, but fit the theme perfectly. You can take a closer look here.  I also love how the guests were into the whole 50's vibe by coming in full 50's attire.

Congratulations Sam and Mauie. Boogie woogie till your golden wedding anniversary!

Bonne Bride: Joyce

I do love to sew, in sickness and in health.

I was taken ill a few months ago and had to stay at home under complete bed rest.  The only thing I could do to keep my mind off of getting sick was read, catch up on old movies and sew (with my doctor's permission, of course).

Here is one of the pieces I made for a lovely bride who was married last February 11, 2012.  Thank you Joyce for keeping me busy in bed and for sending me your lovely wedding photos.

Tala the Faerie

My  4-year-old niece loves to play dress-up. Naturally, she had to wear something cute for  an enchanted-themed party.  She wore a pink and purple tutu I made especially for her.

Leaves were embellished by her mom, by hand.  Bravo!

Here's what I made for Tala's Halloween party 2 years ago.

Hello my darlings! My head candy will be sashaying down the runway of Sassa Jimenez's 2011 December collection.  This is my first ever collaboration for Fashion Week and the first time my headpieces will be seen on the runway.  I have seen some of Sassa's pieces and they are absolutely fabulous! I am so happy to be a part of her show :)

Street Party!

I was commissioned to make fun party pieces for a Sesame Street party.
"They (the kids) thought your headpieces were great! The kids didn't hesitate
to wear them because they were sooooo nice!" - Reina, birthday girl's mom.

I really had fun looking through the photos! The kids are so adorable in their felt fun hats!

Real Bride: Jad

"Hi Bonne!
How are you? Thought I'd send you some photos from my wedding. Everyone loved the veil, it was the perfect touch and made a beautiful day even more meaningful. Thank you so much for your talent and artistry.

Regards,
Jad Montenegro-Amor

ps. I have also included links to the ceremony and reception videos, in case they might be of any interest--if anything, simply to see your work perched on my head! "

Jad is a lovely bride who sent me an email all the way from Davao last year.  She wanted a birdcage veil to wear to the church ceremony with a detachable feather clip to wear to the reception.  Thank you so much Jad for sending me your lovely photos.  :)
